We are so excited to share our recent family adventure with you! We had such an amazing trip, spending time with our awesome children and just being together as a family! We were also truly blessed to be able to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary while enjoying some of God’s beautiful designs! If you love mountain views, vibrant lakes, and stunning landscapes, then this blog post is for you!
Our adventure began at Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota. It was a great way to break up the long drive to Montana! We loved the rolling hills and amazing weather!
We might have stopped a little more often than the average tourist as inspiration took over!
And onward to the mountains we went!
One of our first stops upon arriving at Glacier National Park. St. Mary’s Falls was uniquely beautiful!
Loved the splashes of color throughout the mountains!
Love this shot!
From sunshine to clouds and then back again. The foreboding skies added so much drama to the landscape!
The sunshine brought out so much amazing color in the lakes…stunning!
God’s amazing creation at work…although it was a little creepy as well to see how many worms were crawling all over these pods!
So many breathtaking views!
Love this!
We absolutely loved our time at Lake McDonald. It was so still and peaceful on this beautiful spring evening!
Avalanche Creek was another really incredible spot! We enjoyed a picnic by the river, inhaling the scent of pine and listening to the water roar.
Another shower headed our way! Love this!
And as we made the journey to Bowman Lake, the clouds moved out and God blessed us with more beautiful sunshine!
Stunning!
The Flathead River was also an impressive sight!
By far, our favorite scenery of all! Love them so much!
A favorite shot! And the color of that water…wow!!
The amazing Running Eagle Falls…also known as “Trick Falls.”
Friendly and inquisitive. A small herd showed up as we were enjoying our freshly grilled burgers on the shores of Two Medicine.
The water didn’t even look real! So clear!
Our hike to Aster Falls and Point was so enjoyable and we were again reminded of all that God has given us in our surroundings!
Aster Falls
The view from the Point. The parking lot sure seems a long way away!
Amazing to us how these little beauties are growing in abundance a few feet from piles of snow.
Another favorite from the trip!
And eventually, we headed up to Banff National Park via Kootenay National Park. The beautiful Numa Creek Falls was one of the treasures we enjoyed while there!
LOVE THIS!!!
One of our favorite spots for sure…the very popular Lake Louise!
This porcupine was a few feet off of a very busy trail and didn’t seem bothered in the least by all of the commotion. We did our best to keep him happy!
Moraine Lake was a personal favorite for our family. The gorgeous color of the water and majestic snowy peeks as the background made for a very stunning view!
Johnson Lake
One of the highlights of our busy trip was our hike from Lake Louise up to Lake Agnes. The view of Lake Louise as we headed up the trail was spectacular! So vibrant!
Mirror Lake, a stopping point on the way!
The highway seems a little bit in the distance! 🙂
While at Lake Agnes, we thoroughly enjoyed the yummy biscuits and freshly steeped wildberry tea prepared at the Tea House! It was so hard to head back down the mountain! We just didn’t want to leave!
How could you not want to sit here all day, enjoying tea and biscuits?! What a view!
The Fairmont Springs Chateau was pretty impressive as well!
One of our last stops before leaving the Banff area was Herbert Lake in Jasper National Park. A perfect little gem that was delightfully tranquil!
The next leg of our journey took us to Waterton National Park, where we were awed by the architecture of the Prince of Wales Hotel, which was built almost a hundred years ago.
Look closely!
Bertha Falls was a little beauty set back in the hills of Waterton.
The Bears Hump hike was well worth the effort. We were greatly rewarded when we reached the top!
Love this shot!
A closer shot of the Prince of Wales Hotel.
And one fun image from the dining room. Amazing!
Truly our favorite image of all. Our son, Kevin, took this for us in honor of the 20 years of marriage God has given to us. We are so grateful for the years He has allowed us to serve Him together! Here’s to 20 more!
Absolutely STUNNING photography! Jason, you never cease to amaze me! I can tell that you love what you do!
These are beautiful!
These photos are beyond breathtaking. You definitely have the knack for capturing beauty!
Wow!!! The majestic beauty of our Creator that you captured is absolutely priceless!! Thanks for sharing!!!
. Your photography is the best ever. You outdid yourselves this time. I love the horse… all the horses, but especially the Black horse.
All the lakes look like mirrors. Totally amazing. I’m so glad you had a chance to take that trip as a family.
Spectacular! Congratulations on your first twenty years as man and wife!
The most BEAUTIFUL photos, they should go in a book for all to see. Amazing art work!
